My Thanksgiving Tablescape Details

It’s both hard to believe and also totally no surprise that Thanksgiving is next week. This year has been a wild ride and while the days seem to drag, the weeks – and months – somehow seem to fly by.

We are pretty much back on lockdown around here so like many of you, my Thanksgiving celebrations will be smaller this year. However that should not stop either of us from making them extra special!

Holiday decorating is my absolute favorite and I’m not letting 2020 get in the way of making my holidays memorable. Starting with Thanksgiving….

I was inspired to use items I already had to create this tablescape. The “runner” is actually one of my fashion scarfs! Using a scarf to warm up your table is such a great inexpensive and unique table setting hack.

The dishes are my Waterford fine china, and the flatware is Kate Spade New York. Bonus points because they are both dishwasher safe! If 2020 has taught me anything it’s that life is short. Don’t wait for a ‘special occasion’ to use the fancy china.

These specific glasses are from Ikea, but here are these and these are both similar options.

I’ve actually been on a kick recently to try and use cloth napkins on a daily basis. TJ Maxx is a great place to pick up a set of 8-12 at a great price, but Target has some great options too. Instead of napkin rings, I added some texture to the table with some pinecones. If I really wanted to go the extra mile (aka if I was actually having guests) I’d use them to hold place cards. Beauty and purpose!

The pumpkins (real and faux) are just picks from my Fall home decor bin. Add taper candles, votives and a floral centerpiece and you’re all set – literally and figuratively!
